The award recognizes the risk retention group that provided an outstanding insurance package for its members in 2007/8. The judges are looking for a program that offers high quality, affordable coverage and group benefits to its insureds, while maintaining a strong business model and servicing a large share of its target industry sector. ART Transaction of the year The award recognizes the captive insurance company or cell that completed a market-leading alternative risk transfer transaction in 2007/8. The judges are looking for a transaction that can demonstrate genuine risk transfer through the use of a unique or innovative structure. Cell Captive Vehicle of the year The award recognizes the stand-out segregated, protected or incorporated cell vehicle in 2007/8. The judges are looking for a vehicle that has enjoyed growth and profitability, provides high quality coverage and benefits to its insureds and successfully underwrites a large, innovative or diverse book of risks. Employee Benefits Captive of the year The award recognizes the captive insurance company that successfully funded an outstanding employee benefits package in 2007/8. The judges are looking for innovative integration of a captive and the parent’s benefits program, and a robust financing structure. The judges are looking for innovative methods of maximizing revenue or new revenue-generating models, employed within a diligent insurance program.
